"This well known Paint manufacturer was seeking opportunities to reduce their operations cost while improving their production environment.
Kelly Moore's warehouse facility existing lighting system consisted of 400-watt metal halide fixtures suspended at 24'. The warehouse only operated one shift, however, the adjacent production facility was 3 shifts, because of the slow warm up times of the metal halides the lights were on 16 hours per day to accommodate after hour access, without waiting for the old halides to warm up.
Pacific Energy replaced the existing fixtures with our high output T-5 fluorescent fixtures one for one. Around the perimeter of the storage racks the lights utilized a timer that reduced their operation hours to only 10 per day. The balance of the fixtures that were located in the storage aisles were equiped with motion sensors reducing there usage to less than 4 hours per day.
